    O sector da constru{\c c}{\~a}o tem-se revelado um setor altamente poluente, pelo que se torna necess{\'a}rio adotar uma mudan{\c c}a de comportamentos, implementando medidas e processos que permitam caminhar na direc{\c c}{\~a}o da sustentabilidade. A elevada quantidade de res{\'\i}duos gerados pela ind{\'u}stria da constru{\c c}{\~a}o, provenientes sobretudo das opera{\c c}{\~o}es de demoli{\c c}{\~a}o, {\'e} uma das principais preocupa{\c c}{\~o}es a n{\'\i}vel ambiental e gera bastante apreens{\~a}o por parte dos respons{\'a}veis da constru{\c c}{\~a}o civil. Para combater este flagelo a desconstru{\c c}{\~a}o ou demoli{\c c}{\~a}o seletiva afigura-se uma alternativa muito interessante, enquanto alternativa {\`a} demoli{\c c}{\~a}o dita convencional.

    No presente artigo divulgam-se os resultados obtidos atrav{\'e}s de um inqu{\'e}rito por question{\'a}rio realizado na Universidade do Minho dirigido a um conjunto selecionado de empreiteiros e projetistas, visando recolher a respetiva perce{\c c}{\~a}o sobre os fatores que influenciam a escolha do m{\'e}todo de demoli{\c c}{\~a}o e quais as principais barreiras {\`a} implementa{\c c}{\~a}o da desconstru{\c c}{\~a}o na constru{\c c}{\~a}o Nacional.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 24 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
