    A gest{\~a}o de infraestruturas {\'e} um processo complexo, devido {\`a} falta de financiamento por parte das entidades gestoras, da regulamenta{\c c}{\~a}o existente, mas tamb{\'e}m devido {\`a} falta de sensibiliza{\c c}{\~a}o da sociedade para o setor.

    As metodologias de trabalho BIM (Building Information Model)\ largamente utlizadas noutras {\'a}reas da engenharia civil, poder{\~a}o ser uma mais-valia, atendendo ao facto de serem capazes de acompanhar todo o ciclo de vida, garantindo uma correta e eficiente passagem de informa{\c c}{\~a}o ao longo de todo o ciclo de vida da infraestrutura. A {\'a}rea da hidr{\'a}ulica urbana poder{\'a} usufrui das capacidades j{\'a} demonstradas por esta metodologia na gest{\~a}o eficiente de outras infraestruturas, atrav{\'e}s da s{\'e}tima dimens{\~a}o do BIM, que engloba as opera{\c c}{\~o}es de\ Facility Management,\ assim como das mais-valias de comunica{\c c}{\~a}o entre os diversos modelos computacionais.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
