    O setor da constru{\c c}{\~a}o civil tem registado um crescente desenvolvimento no que se refere {\`a} metodologia {\textquoteleft}Building Information Modelling{\textquoteright} (BIM) e aos seus diversos usos e aplica{\c c}{\~o}es. A verifica{\c c}{\~a}o de regras, no {\^a}mbito do Licenciamento de Obras, {\'e} uma das vertentes que se encontra em franco desenvolvimento a n{\'\i}vel mundial. Neste contexto, o presente artigo que baseia numa disserta{\c c}{\~a}o de mestrado desenvolvida na Universidade do Minho, elaborada em colabora{\c c}{\~a}o com a Gaiurb EM, aborda a utiliza{\c c}{\~a}o da verifica{\c c}{\~a}o automatizada de regras com o intuito de entender como esta pode ser implementada pelas C{\^a}maras Municipais. Foi desenvolvido um caso de estudo posteriormente testado para a verifica{\c c}{\~a}o do cumprimento das regras estabelecidas no Decreto-Lei n.{\textordmasculine} 220/2008, de 12 de novembro, que define o Regulamento Geral das Edifica{\c c}{\~o}es Urbanas (RGEU). Para isso, foi necess{\'a}rio classificar as regras previstas no RGEU quanto {\`a} possibilidade de serem interpretadas e verificadas atrav{\'e}s de um software, e posteriormente testar a verifica{\c c}{\~a}o automatizada atrav{\'e}s do modelo do caso de estudo, possibilitando compreender os desafios gerados pela verifica{\c c}{\~a}o automatizada, como a interpreta{\c c}{\~a}o das regras escolhidas, a sua inser{\c c}{\~a}o num software de verifica{\c c}{\~a}o e as necessidades de informa{\c c}{\~a}o que o modelo precisa conter para que a verifica{\c c}{\~a}o ocorra corretamente. Desta forma, foi poss{\'\i}vel sugerir propostas para a implementa{\c c}{\~a}o do uso da verifica{\c c}{\~a}o automatizada de regras para licenciamento, no caso particular do RGEU.

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.
