    A reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o energ{\'e}tica dos edif{\'\i}cios {\'e} uma {\'a}rea com crescente import{\^a}ncia para o setor da constru{\c c}{\~a}o Portuguesa. Tal deve-se a uma conjuga{\c c}{\~a}o de diversos fatores, desde o estado de degrada{\c c}{\~a}o e fraco desempenho energ{\'e}tico dos mesmos, at{\'e} {\`a} dr{\'a}stica redu{\c c}{\~a}o do {\'\i}ndice de constru{\c c}{\~a}o nova. Como tal, de modo a adequar o parque habitacional existente {\`a}s novas necessidades, mas tamb{\'e}m {\`a}s mais recentes exig{\^e}ncias por parte dos moradores, s{\~a}o fundamentais extensas interven{\c c}{\~o}es de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o no parque habitacional, procurando dotar o mesmo de uma maior efici{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica, possibilitando assim garantir o conforto t{\'e}rmico dos ocupantes sem um gasto energ{\'e}tico excessivo. No entanto, {\'e} necess{\'a}rio desenvolver novas solu{\c c}{\~o}es de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o para introdu{\c c}{\~a}o no mercado, as quais devem ser projetadas, n{\~a}o s{\'o} para aumentar o desempenho t{\'e}rmico da envolvente mas tamb{\'e}m possuir maior viabilidade econ{\'o}mica, serem f{\'a}ceis de aplicar, garantirem menores tempos de aplica{\c c}{\~a}o, assegurarem um controlo de qualidade na sua execu{\c c}{\~a}o e mostrarem algumas preocupa{\c c}{\~o}es ambientais na sele{\c c}{\~a}o dos materiais. Com estes objetivos em perspetiva, o Laborat{\'o}rio de F{\'\i}sica e Tecnologia das Constru{\c c}{\~a}o da Universidade do Minho desenvolveu uma solu{\c c}{\~a}o de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o prefabricada para aplica{\c c}{\~a}o em fachadas de edif{\'\i}cios existentes otimizada em termos da rela{\c c}{\~a}o custo / benef{\'\i}cio.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
