    As comunidades a n{\'\i}vel mundial enfrentam atualmente um r{\'a}pido e elevado crescimento
    populacional, em especial nas cidades. Este aumento populacional tem um impacto direto
    no funcionamento dos sistemas de transportes urbanos, levando a um aumento dos
    volumes de tr{\'a}fego rodovi{\'a}rio. Assim, o aumento r{\'a}pido dos volumes de tr{\'a}fego associado
    a uma reduzida capacidade das infraestruturas rodovi{\'a}rias conduz a fen{\'o}menos frequentes
    de congestionamento que, representam graves consequ{\^e}ncias em diferentes dom{\'\i}nios do
    funcionamento de um sistema urbano, como a redu{\c c}{\~a}o dos n{\'\i}veis de acessibilidade. Este
    condicionamento tem maior impacto no acesso aos principais pontos de interesse e
    principais polos geradores de viagens dos centros urbanos, como hospitais, campi
    universit{\'a}rios, interfaces de transporte, superf{\'\i}cies comerciais, entre outros. Assim, neste
    artigo pretende-se estudar e caracterizar a acessibilidade do transporte individual na {\'a}rea
    urbana da Cidade de Guimar{\~a}es aos seus principais polos geradores de viagens na principal
    hora de ponta - a tarde.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.
