    O setor residencial encontra-se muitas vezes envelhecido, apresentando necessidades de interven{\c c}{\~o}es urgentes. Assim, torna-se importante reabilitar edif{\'\i}cios do ponto de vista estrutural, est{\'e}tico e funcional. A reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o t{\'e}rmica {\'e} uma importante oportunidade para atingir n{\'\i}veis mais elevados de desempenho energ{\'e}tico, reduzindo a elevada depend{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica dos pa{\'\i}ses. As opera{\c c}{\~o}es de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o baseadas na utiliza{\c c}{\~a}o de materiais com capacidade de armazenamento e libera{\c c}{\~a}o de energia contribuem para a obten{\c c}{\~a}o de edif{\'\i}cios mais eficientes em termos energ{\'e}ticos. Combinando a utiliza{\c c}{\~a}o de materiais inteligentes e fontes de energia renov{\'a}veis, {\'e} poss{\'\i}vel aumentar o conforto t{\'e}rmico dentro dos edif{\'\i}cios. O principal objetivo deste trabalho consistiu na caracteriza{\c c}{\~a}o f{\'\i}sica, mec{\^a}nica e t{\'e}rmica de argamassas baseadas em ligantes espec{\'\i}ficos para reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o, com incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de materiais de mudan{\c c}a de fase (PCM). Foram estudadas argamassas {\`a} base de cal a{\'e}rea e gesso, sendo que, para cada ligante, foram desenvolvidas argamassas com e sem incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de PCM. Observou-se que a incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de PCM nas argamassas originou diferen{\c c}as no seu comportamento f{\'\i}sico, mec{\^a}nico e t{\'e}rmico. Verificou-se uma diminui{\c c}{\~a}o das resist{\^e}ncias {\`a} flex{\~a}o e compress{\~a}o, assim como uma melhorado comportamento t{\'e}rmico, reduzindo a temperatura m{\'a}xima, aumentando a temperatura m{\'\i}nima e diminuindo as necessidades de aquecimento e arrefecimento.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
