    O processo de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o energ{\'e}tica do parque edificado coloca in{\'u}meros desafios, para os quais {\'e} necess{\'a}ria uma estrat{\'e}gia que combine inova{\c c}{\~a}o de produto e de processos, optimiza{\c c}{\~a}o de custos e uma abordagem inovadora ao mercado. Neste contexto, as solu{\c c}{\~o}es prefabricadas modulares na renova{\c c}{\~a}o de edif{\'\i}cios s{\~a}o um caminho a ser explorado. A este tipo de solu{\c c}{\~o}es {\'e} reconhecido o potencial para uma optimiza{\c c}{\~a}o de processos de fabrico e consequente redu{\c c}{\~a}o de custos, assim como para a redu{\c c}{\~a}o de tempos de interven{\c c}{\~a}o e de dist{\'u}rbios causados aos utilizadores dos edif{\'\i}cios, ao mesmo tempo que aumenta a qualidade e efici{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica das edifica{\c c}{\~o}es.

    Neste artigo {\'e} apresentado de forma geral o projeto de investiga{\c c}{\~a}o europeu More-Connect, no qual o Centro de Territ{\'o}rio, Ambiente e Constru{\c c}{\~a}o (CTAC) da Universidade do Minho participa, e que tem como objectivo principal o desenvolvimento de solu{\c c}{\~o}es modulares que permitam, em conjuga{\c c}{\~a}o com a aplica{\c c}{\~a}o de sistemas eficientes, alcan{\c c}ar edif{\'\i}cios com necessidades energ{\'e}ticas quase nulas (nZEB) ou nulas (ZEB), numa perspectiva de rentabilidade econ{\'o}mica.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
