    No {\^a}mbito da aplica{\c c}{\~a}o dos fundos europeus estruturais e de investimento no per{\'\i}odo de programa{\c c}{\~a}o 2014-2020 torna-se necess{\'a}rio, na tem{\'a}tica da mobilidade, dar cumprimento ao seguinte Objetivo Tem{\'a}tico {\textquotedblleft}Apoiar a transi{\c c}{\~a}o para uma economia de baixo teor de carbono em todos os sectores{\textquotedblright}, que estabelece, entre outras, a Prioridade de Investimento 4.5, que visa a promo{\c c}{\~a}o de estrat{\'e}gias de baixo teor de carbono para todos os tipos de territ{\'o}rios, nomeadamente as zonas urbanas, incluindo a promo{\c c}{\~a}o da mobilidade urbana multimodal sustent{\'a}vel e eficiente. Da an{\'a}lise da metodologia existente para quantificar o volume de emiss{\~o}es do setor dos transportes utilizado pela Dire{\c c}{\~a}o Geral de Energia e Geologia {\'e} poss{\'\i}vel concluir que a determina{\c c}{\~a}o desses valores n{\~a}o permite definir estrat{\'e}gias que visem a redu{\c c}{\~a}o das emiss{\~o}es neste setor. Deste modo, a metodologia desenvolvida permitir{\'a} estimar o valor correspondente a um n{\'u}mero de viagens de transporte motorizados para um determinado volume de emiss{\~o}es de GEE (tonCO2) e assim definir o quadro da reparti{\c c}{\~a}o modal mais eficiente para os padr{\~o}es de mobilidade urbana a atingir por um, ou v{\'a}rios, munic{\'\i}pios de uma regi{\~a}o. Assim, neste artigo ser{\'a} apresentada uma metodologia que vise estimar a diminui{\c c}{\~a}o do n{\'u}mero de viagens em transporte individual, que possam ser transferidas para modos de transporte mais eficientes e menos poluentes, como o autocarro e os modos ativos, de modo a que se possa atingir o valor meta de CO2 para 2023.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
