    Atualmente o edificado europeu {\'e} respons{\'a}vel por 40\% do total da energia consumida e por 36\% da emiss{\~a}o de gases que contribuem para o efeito de estufa. A reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o energ{\'e}tica do edificado existente, especialmente daquele constru{\'\i}do antes da entrada em vigor da primeira regulamenta{\c c}{\~a}o t{\'e}rmica, aliada a pr{\'a}ticas sustent{\'a}veis, {\'e} um passo essencial e uma prioridade da UE para que os seus Estados-Membro reduzam a sua depend{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica e as suas emiss{\~o}es de gases de efeito de estufa, tornando os seus edif{\'\i}cios mais sustent{\'a}veis.Neste contexto, o presente estudo mostra a reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o energ{\'e}tica de um edif{\'\i}cio residencial portugu{\^e}s, constru{\'\i}do no final da d{\'e}cada de 60, utilizando uma abordagem baseada no Building Information Modelling (BIM) durante as fases iniciais de projeto. A metodologia BIM foi utilizada com o objetivo de realizar an{\'a}lises de desempenho energ{\'e}tico do caso de estudo, de maneira a analisar as vantagens desta abordagem na identifica{\c c}{\~a}o dos melhores cen{\'a}rios de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o energ{\'e}tica. Ap{\'o}s a referida an{\'a}lise, foi poss{\'\i}vel constatar que a utiliza{\c c}{\~a}o de metodologias BIM, permite aos projetistas a r{\'a}pida realiza{\c c}{\~a}o de compara{\c c}{\~o}es entre as poss{\'\i}veis solu{\c c}{\~o}es a adotar, auxiliando assim a tomada de decis{\~a}o. Ao mesmo tempo, possibilita ainda a redu{\c c}{\~a}o de tempo e custos durante as fases iniciais de um projeto e, consequentemente, promove a efici{\^e}ncia e a sustentabilidade do edificado.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
