    O aparecimento de materiais polim{\'e}ricos no dom{\'\i}nio da constru{\c c}{\~a}o fez, destes, um processo de liga{\c c}{\~a}o original e suscept{\'\i}vel de proporcionar trabalhos interessantes, embora o seu custo seja elevado. De entre os pol{\'\i}meros com propriedades aderentes escolhemos os ep{\'o}xidos porque, como veremos adiante, s{\~a}o os que melhor se adaptam ao material bet{\~a}o. Os ep{\'o}xidos utilizam-se em trabalhos de repara{\c c}{\~a}o de estruturas de bet{\~a}o (injec{\c c}{\~o}es e outras colagens), em juntas de betonagem e na liga{\c c}{\~a}o de elementos pre-fabricados, como na constru{\c c}{\~a}o de pontes, silos e coberturas.\ 

    O cap{\'\i}tulo I destina-se a colocar-nos a par da mec{\^a}nica da fractura. Apresentam-se as v{\'a}rias defini{\c c}{\~o}es relativas a esta ci{\^e}ncia e as diferentes teorias que ela comporta. O cap{\'\i}tulo II {\'e} dedicado a um estudo bibliogr{\'a}fico sobre os trabalhos ja efectuados relativos {\`a} fissura{\c c}{\~a}o do bet{\~a}o e {\`a} aplica{\c c}{\~a}o da mec{\^a}nica da fractura ao bet{\~a}o. No cap{\'\i}tulo III apresenta-se um estudo bibliogr{\'a}fico sobre a aplica{\c c}{\~a}o da mec{\^a}nica da fractura ao estudo da ader{\^e}ncia. Apresentam-se resultados e conclus{\~o}es sobre trabalhos j{\'a} efectuados sobre o tema. No cap{\'\i}tulo IV tratamos das repara{\c c}{\~o}es e colagens de bet{\~o}es com ep{\'o}xidos. Para al{\'e}m de um estudo te{\'o}rico sobre a ader{\^e}ncia, apresentamos os ep{\'o}xidos e referimos aspectos pr{\'a}ticos relativos a repara{\c c}{\~o}es externas e internas (injec{\c c}{\~a}o de fissuras).

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
