    A pesquisa buscou demonstrar a viabilidade econ{\^o}mica do CAA frente ao CC atrav{\'e}s do estudo de custo em laborat{\'o}rio de uma composi{\c c}{\~a}o de CAA e uma de CC, representativas de composi{\c c}{\~o}es aplicadas na regi{\~a}o do Recife, com mesmo fck e igual a 40 MPa e mesma rela{\c c}{\~a}o {\'a}gua/ligante de 0,45 (CAA-Lab e CC-Lab). Tamb{\'e}m se buscou estudar o custo de uma composi{\c c}{\~a}o de CAA e outra de CC aplicadas em um caso real de obra inaugurada em 2013 (CAA-Obra e CC-Obra), com mesmo fck e igual a 40 MPa e mesma rela{\c c}{\~a}o {\'a}gua/ligante de 0,40. Para estabelecimento do custo do m3 consideraram-se tr{\^e}s vari{\'a}veis: materiais, fabrica{\c c}{\~a}o e aplica{\c c}{\~a}o, para abranger todas as etapas produtivas. Os custos obtidos foram convertidos de Real para Euro por tratar-se de moeda est{\'a}vel de classe mundial.
    Para materiais, o m3 custou {\texteuro} 93,43 para CAA-Lab, {\texteuro} 97,86 para CAA-Obra, {\texteuro} 81,79 para CC-Lab e {\texteuro} 84,22 para CC-Obra. Fabrica{\c c}{\~a}o, custo de {\texteuro} 10,63 para CAA-Lab e CC-Lab. Aplica{\c c}{\~a}o, {\texteuro} 6,59 para CAA-Lab e {\texteuro} 14,61 para CC-Lab. Custo total igual a {\texteuro} 110,65 para CAA-Lab e {\texteuro} 107,03 para CC-Lab. Considerando-se apenas os materiais, custo CAA-Lab 14,23\% maior que CC-Lab. Para custo total, diferen{\c c}a reduzida para 3,38\%. Nas composi{\c c}{\~o}es da obra estudada, apenas materiais, custo maior de 16,20\% para CAA-Obra frente a CC-Obra. Esses resultados demonstram a viabilidade econ{\^o}mica do CAA frente ao CC mesmo sem considerar ganhos indiretos a exemplo de redu{\c c}{\~a}o no prazo de obras, ru{\'\i}dos e melhor sa{\'u}de do trabalhador, dentre outros.
