    A produ{\c c}{\~a}o e consumo dos v{\'a}rios tipos de energia s{\~a}o dos grandes respons{\'a}veis pelas emiss{\~o}es de gases com efeito de estufa que contribuem para as altera{\c c}{\~o}es clim{\'a}ticas. No sentido de reduzir as emiss{\~o}es tendo em vista a mitiga{\c c}{\~a}o das altera{\c c}{\~o}es clim{\'a}ticas, o setor dos edif{\'\i}cios, enquanto um dos grandes consumidores de energia, {\'e} um alvo de interven{\c c}{\~a}o importante no que concerne {\`a} redu{\c c}{\~a}o dos consumos e consequentes emiss{\~o}es de CO2. Neste contexto, nos {\'u}ltimos anos a Comiss{\~a}o Europeia tem vindo a publicar Diretivas com um grau de exig{\^e}ncia crescente em rela{\c c}{\~a}o ao desempenho dos edif{\'\i}cios, de modo a torna-los mais eficientes, ainda que de uma forma que seja rent{\'a}vel no ciclo de vida do edif{\'\i}cio. De modo a perceber o potencial de melhoria de desempenho energ{\'e}tico dos edif{\'\i}cios do parque habitacional portugu{\^e}s, analisaram-se alguns edif{\'\i}cios representativos do mesmo, com e sem medidas de melhoria de desempenho energ{\'e}tico, avaliando a rentabilidade do investimento ao\ longo do ciclo de vida do edif{\'\i}cio. Os resultados permitem verificar que as medidas que t{\^e}m maior impacto s{\~a}o a altera{\c c}{\~a}o dos sistemas de climatiza{\c c}{\~a}o e prepara{\c c}{\~a}o de {\'a}guas quentes sanit{\'a}rias e a melhoria do desempenho das fachadas e coberturas. O presente documento foca-se especificamente nas componentes opacas das fachadas, apresentando os n{\'\i}veis {\'o}timos de rentabilidade para o seu desempenho energ{\'e}tico em opera{\c c}{\~o}es de reabilita{\c c}{\~a}o de edif{\'\i}cios existentes de diferentes {\'e}pocas e em diversas zonas clim{\'a}ticas, e mostrando como estes elementos podem contribuir para a obten{\c c}{\~a}o de edif{\'\i}cios de energia quase-zero.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
