    Este trabalho visa, em primeiro lugar, a caracteriza{\c c}{\~a}o experimental do comportamento de argamassas com materiais de\ mudan{\c c}a de fase (PCM) incorporados atrav{\'e}s de agregados leves, comparativamente com argamassas de refer{\^e}ncia sem\ incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de PCM. Verifica-se que a aplica{\c c}{\~a}o de argamassas com PCM em camadas de desgaste de pavimentos\ contribui para a minimiza{\c c}{\~a}o dos potenciais efeitos negativos de gelo e degelo. Os estudos experimentais permitem\ concluir que o m{\'e}todo utilizado de impregna{\c c}{\~a}o de PCM em materiais porosos, para posterior incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o em\ argamassa ou bet{\~a}o, {\'e} um m{\'e}todo simples, mas muito eficaz. Os resultados indicam ainda que os materiais comp{\'o}sitos\ com PCM incorporado, podem melhorar a in{\'e}rcia t{\'e}rmica, bem como, atrasar o tempo de eventual ocorr{\^e}ncia de\ congelamento sob a camada de desgaste de um pavimento.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
