    O presente trabalho apresenta um modelo da bacia do Rio Lima, real{\c c}ando-se os
    aspectos relacionados com a sua constru{\c c}{\~a}o, calibra{\c c}{\~a}o e valida{\c c}{\~a}o. Este modelo ser{\'a}
    utilizado na simula{\c c}{\~a}o hidrol{\'o}gica daquela bacia integrado num trabalho de investiga{\c c}{\~a}o
    com o objectivo de implementar um sistema de apoio {\`a} decis{\~a}o para a gest{\~a}o de cheias. Foi
    utilizada uma ferramenta de modela{\c c}{\~a}o hidrol{\'o}gica baseada no modelo de Sacramento
    (inclu{\'\i}da no programa SOBEK), que funciona em simult{\^a}neo com um modelo hidrodin{\^a}mico.
    A calibra{\c c}{\~a}o e valida{\c c}{\~a}o do modelo hidrol{\'o}gico foram conseguidas utilizando dados
    hist{\'o}ricos de caudais e n{\'\i}veis de {\'a}gua em Ponte da Barca e Ponte do Lima para diferentes
    eventos de precipita{\c c}{\~a}o e considerando a exist{\^e}ncia, ou n{\~a}o, do efeito da opera{\c c}{\~a}o das
    barragens situadas a montante daquelas duas vilas. Procurou-se, desta forma, simular a
    hidrodin{\^a}mica do rio Lima quer em situa{\c c}{\~o}es de escoamento normais quer durante a
    ocorr{\^e}ncia de cheias, considerando os per{\'\i}odos anterior e posterior {\`a} constru{\c c}{\~a}o das
    barragens do Alto Lindoso e de Touvedo. Os resultados obtidos demonstram elevada
    correla{\c c}{\~a}o com os par{\^a}metros hidr{\'a}ulicos medidos (caudais e n{\'\i}veis de {\'a}gua).

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 37 researchers holding a PhD of which 27 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
