    Al{\'e}m de imprimir um carater sustent{\'a}vel ao bet{\~a}o, as cinzas volantes (CV) s{\~a}o frequentemente utilizadas para tornar a matriz mais resistente {\`a} a{\c c}{\~a}o dos cloretos. Por outro lado, o Ca(OH)2 existente na matriz {\'e} parcialmente consumido pelas rea{\c c}{\~o}es pozol{\^a}nicas, facilitando o avan{\c c}o da frente de carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o. Tendo em conta a a{\c c}{\~a}o conjunta entre carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o e cloretos, este trabalho investiga a influ{\^e}ncia da presen{\c c}a de cloretos sobre o desenvolvimento da frente de carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o. Foram moldados provetes em argamassa com: 40\%CV, CEM I 42,5R e {\'a}gua/ligante 0,52. Ap{\'o}s a cura, os provetes foram submetidos a ciclos de imers{\~a}o/secagem por 56 e 168 dias. Metade dos provetes foi submetida ao seguinte ciclo: 2 dias em solu{\c c}{\~a}o contendo NaCl (3,5\%); 12 dias em c{\^a}mara de carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o (4\%CO2). A outra metade: 2 dias em {\'a}gua destilada; 12 dias na mesma c{\^a}mara. Em seguida, avaliou-se o desenvolvimento da frente de carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o. Os resultados indicam que a presen{\c c}a de cloretos exerce influ{\^e}ncia sobre a profundidade de carbonata{\c c}{\~a}o. Os provetes submetidos {\`a} a{\c c}{\~a}o do CO2 apresentaram profundidades superiores {\`a}queles provetes submetidos {\`a} a{\c c}{\~a}o combinada. Este fato pode estar relacionado com altera{\c c}{\~o}es em propriedades da matriz e com a presen{\c c}a de sal em foram cristalina ap{\'o}s evapora{\c c}{\~a}o da {\'a}gua.

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.
