    A geometria urbana {\'e} uma das causas do fen{\^o}meno da ilha de calor, pois provoca altera{\c c}{\~a}o do balan{\c c}o energ{\'e}tico nas cidades. Essa pesquisa visa identificar um raio de abrang{\^e}ncia adequado para a determina{\c c}{\~a}o da influ{\^e}ncia t{\'e}rmica da geometria urbana. Para isso explora ferramentas de um Sistema de Informa{\c c}{\~o}es Geogr{\'a}ficas, aplicando um modelo num{\'e}rico (o modelo de Oke), que relaciona a geometria urbana e a intensidade da ilha de calor. Dados t{\'e}rmicos reais s{\~a}o comparados a dados simulados para diferentes raios de abrang{\^e}ncia. Os resultados apontaram que o raio de 30 m {\'e} o que em m{\'e}dia permite maior aproxima{\c c}{\~a}o entre dados reais e dados simulados. Al{\'e}m disso, verificou-se que o modelo aplicado demonstra comportamento diferenciado, conforme o grau de homogeneidade das alturas das edifica{\c c}{\~o}es.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 24 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
