    Atualmente, cada vez mais a sociedade se preocupa com a sustentabilidade e as boas pr{\'a}ticas de constru{\c c}{\~a}o, assim como o desempenho dos materiais quando sujeitos a condi{\c c}{\~o}es ambientais desfavor{\'a}veis. As argamassas com incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de materiais de mudan{\c c}a de fase (PCM) possuem a capacidade de regular a temperatura no interior de edif{\'\i}cios, contribuindo para o conforto t{\'e}rmico e redu{\c c}{\~a}o da utiliza{\c c}{\~a}o de equipamentos de climatiza{\c c}{\~a}o, apenas com recurso {\`a} energia fornecida pelo sol. Tendo em considera{\c c}{\~a}o a enorme depend{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica de Portugal e os elevados consumos energ{\'e}ticos no sector residencial, torna-se urgente desenvolver solu{\c c}{\~o}es construtivas que contribuam para a minimiza{\c c}{\~a}o do consumo de energias provenientes de fontes n{\~a}o renov{\'a}veis. Assim, as argamassas funcionais aparecem como uma poss{\'\i}vel solu{\c c}{\~a}o para a minimiza{\c c}{\~a}o desta problem{\'a}tica, uma vez que contribuem para a efici{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica dos edif{\'\i}cios. No entanto, {\'e} importante que estas apresentem um bom comportamento quando submetidas a condi{\c c}{\~o}es agressivas, tais como quando sujeitas a elevadas temperaturas. O principal objetivo deste trabalho consistiu em avaliar o comportamento a altas temperaturas de argamassas com incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de PCM, com base em diferentes ligantes. Sendo poss{\'\i}vel observar que a exposi{\c c}{\~a}o a temperaturas elevadas deste tipo de argamassas, em geral conduziu a uma diminui{\c c}{\~a}o das suas propriedades mec{\^a}nicas.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
