    Este trabalho aborda os efeitos da incorpora{\c c}{\~a}o de res{\'\i}duos de p{\'o} de vidro contendo s{\'\i}lica amorfa para a produ{\c c}{\~a}o de argamassas obtidas por ativa{\c c}{\~a}o alcalina de metacaulinos. S{\~a}o utilizadas na prepara{\c c}{\~a}o das solu{\c c}{\~o}es activadoras {\`a} base de silicato de s{\'o}dio {\textendash} ou de pot{\'a}ssio {\textendash} duas fontes de s{\'\i}lica que ser{\~a}o objeto de compara{\c c}{\~a}o: uma proveniente do processo de reciclagem do vidro origin{\'a}rio do lixo municipal e outra, da produ{\c c}{\~a}o de ligas met{\'a}licas de ferro-sil{\'\i}cio da ind{\'u}stria sider{\'u}rgica. Al{\'e}m destas, tamb{\'e}m s{\~a}o adotadas solu{\c c}{\~o}es activadoras produzidas a partir de silicatos de s{\'o}dio e pot{\'a}ssio, obtidos em escala industrial. Este estudo tem por objectivo a avalia{\c c}{\~a}o do desempenho em termos de resist{\^e}ncia e de durabilidade das argamassas analisadas a partir de raz{\~o}es molares de refer{\^e}ncia. S{\~a}o apresentados estudos referentes ao {\'\i}ndice de actividade dos materiais analisados cujos resultados promovem a competitividade da s{\'\i}lica de vidro verde mo{\'\i}do, nomeada ecos{\'\i}lica, em termos t{\'e}cnicos e econ{\^o}micos. Neste estudo sobre a produ{\c c}{\~a}o de argamassas geopol{\'\i}meras com adi{\c c}{\~a}o de p{\'o} de vidro s{\~a}o discutidas as condi{\c c}{\~o}es de preparo, cura, trabalhabilidade, redu{\c c}{\~a}o do custo de aquisi{\c c}{\~a}o dos materiais e a efici{\^e}ncia energ{\'e}tica frente {\`a}s alternativas propostas.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 24 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
