    Abstract

    A gestão de infraestruturas é um processo complexo, devido à falta de financiamento por parte das entidades gestoras, da regulamentação existente, mas também devido à falta de sensibilização da sociedade para o setor.

    As metodologias de trabalho BIM (Building Information Model) largamente utlizadas noutras áreas da engenharia civil, poderão ser uma mais-valia, atendendo ao facto de serem capazes de acompanhar todo o ciclo de vida, garantindo uma correta e eficiente passagem de informação ao longo de todo o ciclo de vida da infraestrutura. A área da hidráulica urbana poderá usufrui das capacidades já demonstradas por esta metodologia na gestão eficiente de outras infraestruturas, através da sétima dimensão do BIM, que engloba as operações de Facility Management, assim como das mais-valias de comunicação entre os diversos modelos computacionais.

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
