    Atualmente, os habitantes de centros urbanos representam mais de 50% da população mundial e este valor tende a aumentar em quase metade nos próximos 40 anos. As cidades contemporâneas têm evoluído não apenas em função do desenvolvimento económico mas também em função da organização espacial dos locais onde se inserem, sendo as principais responsáveis pelo consumo de recursos naturais e terrenos, e contribuintes de cerca de 70% das emissões globais de poluentes (BRAGANÇA, 2013).

    About CTAC

    The Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) is a research unit of the School of Engineering of University of Minho (UMinho), recognised by the “FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia” (Foundation for Science and Technology), associated to the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), with whom it shares resources and namely human resources.

    Currently CTAC aggregates 25 researchers holding a PhD of which 20 are faculty professors of the Civil Engineering Department. Read more
